The Promise

I promise to wipe that smirk off your face,

Every moment in every way,

I promise to wipe that smirk off your face.

I promise to wipe that smile off your face,

There will be none , not even a trace.

I promise to wipe that smile off your face.

I promise to wipe that grin off your face,

Even your kin, you won’t embrace.

I promise to wipe that grin off your face.

I promise to wipe that laugh from your face,

Be a little brutal, hit you with that mace.

I promise to wipe that laugh from your face.

I promise to wipe that beam off your face,

There’ll be no glory, there’ll be no grace.

I promise to wipe that beam off you face.

      1. Oh really? Ahhh, I was referencing a comedian that came to my mind.
So to understand this poem, is it someone saying it to you? Or is it like you’re going to get hurt in the process of fulfilling your promise?

          1. I see. I hope you win in the end lol (if a win is possible). There’s not much I can do from where I am (I think).

  1. Why such a promise ? That was the first reaction when I read the poem. That something very serious must have taken place between the two. Then later on I was wondering why I had posted that question 🙂 because it must be something personal.

  2. ………………. amongst your roses, I picked the thorn; it bled me the most! For me, a lot came out in this…..the venom was clear but as i read the comments….could someone hold so much venom & mean it true? idk

Strong pieces you have, thank you for sharing!
